The Promotion Spotlight is on Wild Goose Morgans. They participated in the Oklahoma Celebrate The Morgan Horse
event held on September 10th.What The Clarke's had to say about their experience:
Our newest addition, Moonbow was clipped and
bathed and shining like a new penny when we loaded her and headed off to the
event held at Eclipse Stables in Guthrie, OK. It would have been hard to
find a nicer location for this event as the facilities at Eclipse Stables
were perfect and the host for the day, Joni Barham, made both the guests
and participants feel at home. Pat Gillespie was the event organizer and is
to be commended for all the work that she and her committee put into this
well organized function.
We participated in the color parade with our cream mare and guests were
attracted to Moonbow because of her unique coloring and beauty. We were
pleased to answer their questions and discussed the number of the rare
double dilutes that are registered with the AMHA. Those statistics show 84
cream horses registered, 32 of which are mares, and Wild Goose Morgans is
very proud to own two Morgan mares in this lovely color. The color parade
was a fine representation of the breed and the Morgans who took part were
Back, Bay, Chestnut, Palomino, Cream and a 1/2 Morgan paint whose Morgan
dam carries the sabino gene.
The visitors were entertained with a wonderful display of the many different
disciplines that Morgans participate in, including: Parade Horse, Dressage,
Western Pleasure, English Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure, Reining, Carriage
Driving, Barrel Racing, Sidesaddle, Trail, and Classic Pleasure.
The Stallion Showcase and Sale Horse Presentation concluded the event. At
the end of the day, everyone was tired but it was a fantastic day for all.
The
spectators went home with an appreciation of how diverse and versatile the
Morgan breed truly is and the Morgan owners had the opportunity to do some
networking and appreciate just how many beautiful Morgans are in Oklahoma.
We would love to see Celebrate The Morgan Event become a yearly function.
